| Stuck here in Maryland still. There were snow flurries the other day but just enough to make it all cold but not enough to be fun. I'm not even being productive here either cuz we're just waiting on the other side to do stuff. Very small chance I might get to go home this weekend for a few days but not sure yet... I think this is the longest I've gone without chatting on aim since before I started that cuz I only get my 30 minutes of internet a week in the business office. Ah well. Send me ur emails cuz i don't remember any of them or call me at my hotel cuz i'm so far out in the boonies i don't get coverage here. It's the Holiday Inn Select Solomons room 260... | | |
| i was bored today so i decided to actually cook dinner. after eating at ruth's chris yesterday i couldn't eat junk today... being the master chef that i am with that fully stocked kitchen kinda dampened my excitement tho. of course i don't have everything to follow any real recipes and i'm too lazy to go to the grocery store so i had to experiment and make up my own special sauce. so i grabbed a bunch of mickey d ketchup packets and squeezed them into a bowl, poured in some jack daniels, threw tons of random seasonings from my pantry on top and tried a little. it was actually not bad but it didn't quite have any kick to it. so i grabbed a taco bell hot sauce packet and added it and oh man, that is the best sauce i have ever had. i am not even kidding, it was seriously way better than any bbq sauce i have ever tried before. i only wish i knew how to reproduce it... | | |
| wow, i spent a couple nights in vegas over thanksgiving and it was quite a different experience than usual. instead of packing 8 people in a tiny room, we stayed in a huge 2 bedroom suite at paris on the 31st floor thanks to charles and his dad. right after we arrived we ordered room service. fillet mignon, shrimp, drinks, and some other stuff all for like $20 for tip... headed over to binions where we paid for our first lesson in casino hold'em (damn those people that annoy you so much you can't even think). the next day we went over to excalibur with its 1-3 tables and there were a surprising number of chumps there just giving away money, me included probably but at least i don't feel overwhelmed there and i think i could win with a little bit of practice rather than just breaking even like i did over the day. i actually had one hand with pocket 7's and the other two 7's came out on the flop and i did not cash in half of what i should have probably... anyways, i probably already told anyone that reads this my other stories like my tower of greens ($25 chips for those that don't know) that came and went super fast in blackjack so i won't bother typing that up now. we ate a lot more good food, had some really good wine, and i ended up coming back with pretty close to what i left with in my wallet so it ended up being a most excellent trip in all aspects (aside from the fact that i left early). we'll hafta see how CES feels in january now since it'll be back to the ghetto for me... | | |
